Early experiences translating stories and academic texts and interacting with multicultural families, especially migrant mothers in Korea, proved to me how essential language access and sensitivity to cultural nuance are to their meaningful participation in education, public services, and community life. This understanding inspired me to broaden my efforts, from working with the Mission Center for Migrants to eventually co-developing Jurio as a bilingual legal-information resource.
